About the event
Have you ever wanted to use your sword for a workout at home? Do you want to feel more stable in your footwork and have more endurance in your arms when fencing? Movement is how we learn! 🤺
The goal of this workshop is to offer strategies and drills to aid in your home training and improve your fitness for any level of HEMA.
What we will cover:
Footwork and arm-work drills to improve both technical skill and physical endurance.
A basic "HEMA Workout" routine that can be repeated at home or in the salle.
What to expect:
Expect a fair amount of movement and expect some sweat! 💦
There will be no sparring; the gear expectation is simply what you have available at home.
This is approachable for most fitness levels. We have built-in rest breaks, and we can explore modifications for any exercise as they come up.
Note: While we can discuss the "why" behind these fitness methods if requested, this workshop will focus on practical movement rather than academic discussion.
